Regional Sales Director (#253-MH240)

About this job

The Regional Sales Director's primary responsibility will be to successfully manage the sales program across the Western region. He or she will evaluate, define and negotiate partnership opportunities to accelerate the sales opportunities on the third party publisher sites and close deals.

The Regional Sales Director will also be expected to contribute in many other ways such as defining new processes and looking for ways for the company to continuously improve how external and internal partners understand and regard our partnerships and making recommendations to the respective product organizations about distribution strategy and initiatives.


Specific duties:

  • Support Existing Partnerships in the Region
  • Develop new relationships through sales
  • Track progress of existing partnerships
  • Drive additional strategic opportunities with existing partners
  • Organize sales reporting and as well as day to day communication
  • Evaluate, Negotiate and Sign, and Manage new Partnerships in the Region
  • Prioritize partnership opportunities based on feasibility, immediate and long term value, engagement metrics, and brand awareness.
  • Work with the rest of the organization through complete integration of Partnerships (Legal, Product, AdOps, Sales, Finance)
  • Strengthen the Sales Processes
  • Communicate achievements internally and externally across the company
  • Train other members of the team or organization
  • Contribute to the overall success 
  • Generate and share ideas for improving the business
  • Work to develop the set of best practices that willl be the foundation for business development
  • Be proactive about solving problems, even outside the direct perimeter of responsibility


Skills/Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of work experience in sales and/or strategy role
  • Undergraduate degree from top tier university preferred
  • Exposure to Consumer Internet and/or Platform and relevant deal experience critical
  • Understanding of the platform distribution strategies
  • Understanding of online advertising principles and key drivers
  • Understanding of media and content verticals
  • Experience with API and data license agreements a plus
  • Product management experience and understanding of Web technologies a plus
  • Good understanding of the web and devices ecosystem, with an existing network of contacts already in place
  • Comfort with analytical and data analysis tools, including Excel, required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a start-up or small team environment
  • Self-starter with strong analysis, modeling, and business skills
  • Sound business judgment
  • Ability to work independently across multiple groups in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working under deadlines and producing key deliverables
  • Good project management capabilities
  • Knowledge of multiple languages a plus
