Account Executive (#241-MH216)

About this job

The Account Executive (AE) serves as the primary client contact on day-to-day development and implementation of cross-channel marketing communications programs. In many ways, the AE is the face of the agency – strategic, polished, service-oriented, and committed to delivering great results. The AE understands the client’s business, develops positive client relationships, and ensures the overall partnership is productive and rewarding. A great AE is both client advocate and agency advocate -- a motivated team player who aligns client/agency expectations and positions the agency to deliver great work on the client’s behalf.




Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and maintains necessary records and documentation for assigned accounts, maintains historical files and supports the Senior Account Management Staff in updating account plans
  • Remains knowledgeable at all times about the status of projects and ensures work is completed accurately and on time
  • Understands the client’s business and the associated news regarding the company, updates brand team on any pertinent news
  • Works closely with strategy, creative, social media and other internal departments to keep them informed of any changes in client and/or competitive climate
  • Anticipates client needs, identifies solutions, and increases the value of service
  • Manages budgets and project scopes, ensures profitable delivery of services and client satisfaction
  • Works closely with the production team counterparts to ensure timely and on-target deliverables
  • Understands traditional and digital marketing and is able to align strategies and tactics
  • Begins developing skills to guide, advise, assist, and motivate agency team members
  • Develops client relationships, identifies opportunities to add value to client’s business
  • Works with Account Supervisors and Directors to develop proposals and presents ideas and plans
  • Participates as required with new business pitches


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 2 to 6 years agency experience (preferred) or related communications industry experience
  • 2+ years experience working in interactive marketing
  • Highly proficient in use of Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately with others through written and verbal means. Must be highly organized and detail oriented in a production intensive environment.
