Account Supervisor (#242-MH216)

About this job

The Account Supervisor (AS) is responsible for overall account management, including client communication, scope of work, team management, delivery, and overall client satisfaction. The AS builds positive client relationships and ensures the overall partnership is productive and rewarding. The AS is strategic, polished and committed to delivering outstanding results. More experienced than an AE, the AS possesses a deeper understanding of campaign strategies and tactics and brings an informed perspective to internal and external discussions.  He or she understands strategic nuances, identifies consumer insights, and effectively translates a client’s business situation to the internal team. The AS is a proven leader, able to guide both the client and agency teams towards the development of successful marketing programs.



Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary liaison between the client and agency
  • Understands the client’s business, organization structures, processes, and marketing plans
  • Anticipates client needs, identifies solutions, and increases the value of service
  • Sets client expectations and works closely with production team counterparts to ensure timely and on-target deliverables
  • Manages budgets and project scopes
  • Ensures profitable delivery of services and client satisfaction
  • Responsible for overall account health and quality of work
  • Understands traditional and digital marketing and is able to align strategies and tactics across channels
  • Skilled at maximizing agency specialists against strategic client priorities
  • Identifies trends and new strategic opportunities for the agency and client
  • Analyzes campaign data and draws actionable insights to optimize results
  • Represents the agency in holistic planning and agency partner meetings
  • Develops client relationships (including senior level) and identifies opportunities to add value
  • Develops proposals and presents ideas and plans
  • Establishes meaningful measures of the agency’s impact on the client’s business
  • Assists with new business pitches

 Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 8+ years account management experience in an agency environment or equivalent client-side marketing experience
  • Consumer Goods experience preferred but not required
  • 2+ years experience working in interactive marketing
  • Highly proficient in use of Microsoft office suite
  • Familiar with common reporting tools and systems
