Sales Support Engineer (#232-MH237)

About this job

We are currently seeking candidates for a Sales Support Engineer role to join the Sales and Client Service team.  The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.

Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products.  This role is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a vast variety of web technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Make technical sales calls
  • Development and delivery of product demonstrations
  • Representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
  • Non-standard / complex  implementation questions
  • Implementation verification / testing help for client services team
  • Document writing
  • Help with the implementation of code and perform quality checks to ensure that work has been completed successfully and work closely with the Product Management, Engineering and Client Services team
  • Provide advanced technical support to address strategic client issues
  • Must be prepared for extensive travel

Duties

Job Requirements:

Essential

  • Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process
  • Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
  • Must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
  • Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Technical degree required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good level understanding and usage of:
    • JavaScript / DOM / HTML / Cookies
    • HTTP / internet protocols
    • Regular expressions (regexes)

Preferred

  • At least three years of experience in digital marketing/advertising/media
  • Ability to spot patterns and automate repetitive tasks
  • Good level understanding and usage of:
    • Cross browser testing & browser compatibility issues
    • AJAX
    • jquery
    • SQL / mysql
    • Svn or other version control

Skills you will acquire

  • Browser performance / load order issues
  • Privacy / same origin policy
