Media Planner (#286-139)

About this job
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Company sales team to think strategically about presenting solutions in the RFP’s and sales presentations based on company’s core competitive advantages 
  • Generating dynamic proposals in response to RFPs from advertisers and agencies 
  • Developing sales material to be utilized across the sales team 
  • Researching active and potential advertisers to identify opportunities to generate incremental spend 
  • Establishing best practices to drive the highest close rates possible when presenting to a new or existing client 
  • Understand the fundamentals of pricing, and insure consistency across all channels 
  • Build processes to insure all documentation and communications are properly classified, as well as communicated to internal clients 
  • Facilitate the IO process 
  • Understand how specific networks can integrate into media proposals, what offerings/media and restrictions each has, and manage the direct discussions to secure additional or special types of inventory needs 

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of online advertising research tools such as, ComScore, Nielsen and Quantcast. AdExchange/RTB experience a plus
  • Experience with different targeting technologies: contextual, behavioral, audiences, retargeting 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and manipulate a variety of data 
  • Thrives in an informal, rapidly-changing, do-it-yourself style start-up culture 
  • Experience managing campaign life cycle and meeting all internal and external SLAs 
  • 3 to 5 years experience in either online media planning/buying or online media ad sales support/planning(Contextual based solutions/ad networks a plus) 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and more specifically written 
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Salesforce.com skills required
  • Ad Relevance/Ad Database knowledge a plus 
  • Strong working knowledge of the online advertising space (direct agency experience/or media sales) 
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
