Western Regional Sales Manager (#290 - MH257)

About this job

We are looking for a Regional Advertising Director to join our growing team.  The ideal candidate will have deep digital roots in the CA ad community and the desire to work in a fast growing entrepreneurial environment.

The position will be a work from home environment based in California.  Territory coverage will include premium accounts covering the state of California.  Additional territories may be considered depending on candidate’s geographical location and relationships.  High call volume and travel are required.

Candidate will report into the SVP of Sales.


Key Responsibilities


  • Sell digital inventory
    • For premium online initiatives, to agencies and direct client
    • Present to and meet with new and existing clients to pitch online ad opportunities
    • Negotiate rates as well as the mix of inventory to prospective clients
    • Develop general and customized solutions / presentations for clients in addition to developing sales strategies to grow sales revenue
    • Manage digital sales pipeline:
      • Develop, manage and expand the roster of prospective clients for all online initiatives
      • Build active contacts across online agencies and clients. This will include contacts at multiple levels from buyers to senior management
      • Identify key brands that fit the demos and value proposition of each online initiative and developing contacts and relationship with the agencies (or clients direct) who manage those brands.
      • Prospect in order to strategically target accounts


Ideal Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience selling in the online media space
    Proven track record of exceeding goals and sales quotas
  • Strong agency/client relations within territory
  • Knowledge of market prospects including planning seasons and budget allocation
  • Willingness to travel
  • Extremely web savvy with deep understanding of digital media as well as mobile and video
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to take initiative and be work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • 4-year college degree required
